Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir strives to uplift the downtrodden through education and
follows the motto ‘Bahujan Hitay Bahujan Sukhay’ laid down by Late Karmaveer Bhausaheb
Hiray. Mahilaratna Pushpatai Hiray Arts, Science and Commerce Mahila Mahavidyalaya was
established with a view to develop scientific temper and competitive abilities among girl
students. We take utmost care to see that the teaching learning process is made more effective
to impart quality education. The college runs various certificate courses and value added
courses at the departmental and college level. The well qualified staff at the college strives
hard to maintain the standard of teaching through experiential and participative learning.
The Student Development Board and National Service Scheme provides great opportunity to
the students to develop their overall personality. Students get ample opportunity to develop
their physical ability through sports and creative ability through music. Our students have
participated at various State, University and National level Sports and Cultural events.
